Making a Green Escape

Uluwatu is one of my favorite areas in Bali. With high cliffs and wild wavy beaches, the surroundings are definitely different to those of other popular places, like for example Canggu. Even though I’ve been to Bali a couple of times before, I only made it to Uluwatu once. You can imagine how excited I was when I decided to go back!
Tranquility and peace
Our home in Uluwatu was Green Escape, an Eco-Boutique resort located within walking distance of Bingin Beach. Five beautiful wooden bungalows, for a total of fourteen people cozily surround the lush pool area, where multiple sun beds are inviting you to relax and soak up the Balinese sun.
We were staying in the Angkasa bungalow, also known as the honeymoon suite. Angkasa means “sky” in Indonesian, and it definitely felt like we were in our own little peace of heaven. Our private bungalow consisted of a deluxe kingsize bed, two lounge areas, a stunning bathroom with an enormous bathtub and a rain shower. And as if there weren’t already enough places to relax, in front of our bungalow we also had a big lounge bed where we spent the night talking about life and enjoying some cold Bintangs.

Things that matter: taking care of our planet
There’s nothing I enjoy more than exploring our beautiful planet. It is therefore extremely important to me that we do everything we can to preserve this place called earth, so that future generations can enjoy all its beauty as well. Green Escape does a great job in helping to preserve our precious planet. The entire resort is powered by Solar Energy, they have water saving showers, the pool doesn’t have any chemicals in it, they use the waste water to treat the garden and they use only organic and natural products. Wouldn’t it be great if all resorts did this? 🙂

Best Granola ever!
I’m totally not a morning person, but the thought of breakfast never fails to get me out of bed. And you can imagine I’m even more excited about breakky when staying at gorgeous resorts like these. And yes, my excitement was completely justified. At Green Escape you get the best of both worlds: a delicious buffet breakfast with also four a la carte options to choose from.

For those who are feeling a bit more romantic and are looking for some privacy, Green Escape arranges a flower bubble breakfast. Yes, that’s right: enjoying breakfast in a big bath tub whilst sipping champagne and floating in flower petals. Such a dream!

If you’re planning a trip to Bali you’d be crazy not to stay at Green Escape!
