My Staycation at InterContinental Sydney

From the moment I set foot in Sydney I always wondered what the view must be like from those high-rises looking out over the Sydney Harbour. It is true when they say good things come to those who wait, and three years later I had the privilege to stay in Sydney’s finest hotel, with the most incredible views of the city: The InterContinental Sydney.

Hello heritage, hello history!
InterContinental Sydney is nestled inside the old Treasury Building of 1851, which was the first purpose-built government office in Sydney. Once you’re inside the hotel you get immediately enchanted by the historical architecture, making this building one of my favorite buildings in Sydney (I just love history, y’know). And did you know The InterContinental is located where the very first Australian grape vine was planted in 1788? InterContinental Sydney acknowledges and pays respect to the traditional owners of the land on which the hotel sits; the Gadigal people of the Eora Nation.

I could sit here for days 🙂

Pinch me…
I was staying in one of the suites with Harbour view, and as soon as I walked into my room my eyes filled up with tears. Happy tears. Not just the room was absolutely gorgeous, the view just made me so emotional, and somehow I couldn’t help but feeling that I really made it. All this travel blogging and “influencing” (ugh, that word) might seem easy from the outside, but truth is that I work my butt off and collaborating with InterContinental Sydney has always been one of my top goals. And now I was here. Wow. I sat down for a good 20 minutes to just take in the view and to be very, very grateful.

InterContinental Sydney know how to welcome their guests 🙂

Club InterContinental
When you stay in one of InterContinental Sydney’s Club rooms, you also get to enjoy the extra facilities at Club InterContinental. Just the access to their 31st floor 270 degrees balcony is already reason enough to book a club room, and I haven’t even started talking about other privileges such as the complimentary high tea, twilight drinks & canapies and the all day light refreshments. I enjoyed two sunsets and one breakfast at Club Intercontinental – experiences I’ll never forget.

How about a sunrise breakky with this view?
Or a sunset with this view?

But let’s not forget the room!
Let’s go back to the room. This spacious room featured a big living area both with a sofa and a desk looking out on the spectacular harbour view. The kingsize bed comes with a pillow menu and everything, and the gorgeous bathroom is generously stocked with the beautiful skincare products of Appelles. Needless to say I spent many hours in the (bubble) bath and I slept like a baby both nights.

Delicious breakky and delicious products by Appelles Skin 🙂

It truly was the stay of my dreams. Can I go back already?

❤ Eef

Disclaimer: I was not paid to write this post, however, I did get a two night complimentary stay. All opinions are 100% mine and I would highly recommend staying at InterContinental Sydney. And if you go, can I please come with you? 😉
