Spring has sprung in Australia, which means it’s time to start getting excited about the upcoming festivals in Sydney. Who doesn’t love dancing to some good tunes with the sun in their face and a cold beer in their hand? These are the 3 best Sydney Festivals you can’t miss this season.

1. Return to Rio – 8-10 Nov 2019

Return to Rio – 8-10 Nov 2019

Set on the banks of the Hawkesbury River, Return to Rio is the ultimate escape from the city and the best way to kick off festival season.

Dance from dusk till dawn to the finest tunes, relax, reset and recharge while floating on the river or befriend the local wallabies and kangaroos that are hopping around. Rio is not just a festival- it’s an experience.

My favorite part of Rio? Dressing up! It can’t be crazy or extravagant enough when you’re at Rio. I already started looking for outfits… 😉

Artists: Acid Pauli, David Scuba, DJ Luck & McNeat, The Martinez Brothers, Super Flu, Nick Warren & many, many more. Find the complete line up here.

Ready to Rio? Get your tickets here. And don’t forget to say hi when you see these two girls below (aka my bff and I!) 😉

2. Subsonic Music Festival – 6-8 Dec 2019

Subsonic Music Festival – 6-8 Dec 2019

It’s already the 11th edition of Subsonic Music Festival, and each year it keeps getting better and better.

At the heart of the festival you’ll find the Subsonic Lifestyle village, a safe space for creativity to bloom. Get inspired by one of the many speakers, follow creative workshops or relax while doing yoga.

One of the things I really like about Subsonic is their commitment to sustainability. You won’t find any single use plastic at the festival and they’ll implement a waste pack system.

Artists: DJ Vadim, Truth, Craig Richards, Digital Africa Andy Garvey, Archie Hamilton, Ata, Audiofly, Ben Fester and many more. Find the complete line up here.

3. Electric Gardens – 22 Feb 2019

Electric Gardens – 22 Feb 2019

Someone say day festival? Electric Gardens is a day festival held in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Adelaide and Auckland. Last year my bff and I attended EC’s Sydney edition and had the best. day. ever. Ice cold beers, a hot hot hot summer’s day and the finest tunes made us dance the day and evening away. I can’t wait for EC 2020!

“Electric Gardens will provide the most memorable occasion of your whole summer…the event continues to attract an eclectic crowd whose sole goal is to enjoy themselves to live performances of dance music’s finest…” – The Plus Ones.

Artists: TBA – but looking at the last few years with names such as Fatboy Slim, Armand van Helden and Paul van Dyk you can expect some pretty big names coming up…

I don’t know about you, but after writing this article I literally can’t wait for this Sydney festival season to start! Is it November yet?? 😉
