Bondi Beach is one of the most well known, if not the most well known beach in the world. You might know Bondi from famous TV Shows such as Bondi rescue, or you have simply come across a few images of this iconic beach. With blue waters, white sand and hot surf dudes it makes it the perfect place to soak up some sun or catch some waves. There is a lot to see and to do in Bondi, but there’s a few things you shouldn’t miss out on…
Going for lunch in Bondi
Bondi knows so many cute coffee- and lunch places that every weekend you could grab lunch somewhere else for a whole year. Most of those places are not located on the famous Campbell parade, but on the streets just around the corner. Go for the potato mushroom stack at Skinny Dip, grab a cup of coffee at Cafe le Paris Go and enjoy a cappuccino whilst reading a good book at Gertrude and Alice.
The Bondi to Coogee Coastal walk
By far my favorite thing to do in Sydney: going on the Bondi to Coogee Coastal walk! I have been on this walk about five times and it keeps surprising me. Stunning beaches, rough cliffs and amazing viewpoints are just a few of the things that make this walk so worthwhile. And if you’re luck you can even spot whales! This time we saw two beautiful whales splashing around. So amazing!
Staying right at the beach
Australia is not a cheap destination, so if it is your dream to stay right at the beach but you don’t have an awful lot to spend: don’t worry – you still can! Bondi Backpackers offers affordable accommodation and is located right at the beach. Their hostel is stylishly decorated and my favorite part of it is the rooftop from where you have an amazing view on the beach. Tip: get up early to get a glimpse of the beautiful Bondi sunrise…
Even though Bondi (beach) is just a suburb in Sydney, it has so much to offer you could easily spend a whole week there. I have decided to move to Brisbane during Australian winter, but I’ll most likely be back in Bondi for summer. Can’t wait! 🙂
Disclaimer: Bondi Backpackers sponsored my stay in Bondi, however, all opinions are 100% mine, and I absolutely enjoyed their A-list location.
